This one was fairly weird…
One time I had a girl who writes erotic fiction ask me at a kink club if I could help her get into the headspace of one of her characters so she could understand her better. It turned out she was a pretty good subject, dropping fairly easily but…
It was a mistake! She outright became the character in question, who was a man-hater with zero control over personal boundaries!
Previously she’d been chatty, complimentary, curious and a little shy…
Her character was the complete opposite, rude, abrasive, leery and non-communicative.
She basically woke up, gave me a derisive look, then sped off into the club to grope, and make out with any girl who was halfway interested. Every attempt I made to drop her back into trance or persuade her to cool the flirtations went completely ignored, and it was only when she leapt, legs wrapping around the waist of a female friend whilst nuzzling and nibbling her neck and I explained the situation to the friend, that she was was able to trigger her back into trance and return her to normal.
I think she probably only went round pestering people whom she’d already established a playful relationship, but I was genuinely worried for a while that I’d unleashed a monster that refused to go back to being imaginary.
It was 10+ years ago at this point, but I *should* have asked for more information about that character up front, put in a more effective failsafe *before* waking her up, and maybe just told her that she’d know what her character *wanted* to do… instead of outright obeying every whim that she put in her head.
Wild and weird though!
