The spiralling patterns held her.Â
How long had she been gazing at them?Â
With a start she came to her senses only to find she couldn’t pull her gaze from the screen.Â
Her every attempt only led to the sensation that her mind was being pulled out of her head.
With a flush she noticed that her mouth was hanging open and her tongue had flopped out dumbly.
She tried without success to retrieve her tongue, to focus her eyes elsewhere, to do anything.Â
It was all in vain.Â
As the last vestiges of her conscious thought were drawn from her brain, she began to drool.
